Colleen Marie (O’Keefe) Easley, 79, passed away peacefully on March 17, 2026, in Kalispell.

Born on Sept. 7, 1946, in Butte to Elsie and Neil O’Keefe, Colleen carried a deep sense of kindness, strength, and compassion throughout her life. She was known for her gentle heart, her vibrant Irish spirit, and the quiet way she made others feel cared for and valued.

Colleen lived a life rooted in service and dedication. She served her country during the Vietnam era and devoted her career to nursing, where she cared for her patients with unwavering compassion. Her work was more than a profession; it was a reflection of who she was.

She married John Hoagland Easley Jr. on Jan. 30, 1971, and together they built a loving home in Great Falls, where they raised their five children. In retirement, Colleen found peace and joy in Lakeside, embracing the natural beauty around her.

As an avid runner and tennis player, she lived actively and with purpose, and she balanced her energy through her love of reading and conversation. She also had a deep love for animals, especially her beloved border collies and purebred poodles, who were constant companions and sources of joy.

Above all, Colleen cherished her family. She poured her love into her five grandchildren, creating lasting memories through her warmth and steady support. Her legacy is one of love, resilience, and kindness.

Colleen is survived by her devoted husband, John; her five children, John, Maureen, Neil, Hugh and Meghan; her sister, Maureen; and her beloved grandchildren, John, Connor, Cooper, Elizabeth "Ellie," Caitlin, Paxton and Preston. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved her.

A memorial service will be held Friday, April 10, at St. Matthew's Catholic Church in Kalispell. Johnson-Gloschat Funeral Home is caring for the family.

May you be at peace in the arms of the angels. May the light of heaven shine upon you. May you be remembered in love, and may your spirit live on in all who knew you.
