Buddhist nuns to speak at NIC

North Idaho College will host seminars with Buddhist nuns on shared values and how curiosity helps connect with others on April 7 and 8 at NIC’s Coeur d’Alene campus.

Both talks are free, open to the public and hosted by the NIC Cardinal Reads Committee.

“Curiosity: The Key to Connection” will be presented by Buddhist nun Venerable Tenzin Tsepal from 6:30 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, April 7, in the Lake Coeur d’Alene Room of the Edminster Student Union Building. Tsepal’s talk will cover curiosity as a way of responding to differences to foster meaningful connection and understanding.

“Discovering Our Shared Values” will be presented by Venerables Thubten Dekyi and Thubten Puntsok on Wednesday, April 8, from noon to 12:50 p.m. in the Driftwood Bay Room of the Edminster Student Union Building. The discussion will explore our shared values and ways to connect with people with different views.
