PREP ROUNDUP: St. Maries' Durham fans 17 in shutout

ST. MARIES — Senior Will Durham, a transfer from Walla Walla High, struck out 17 and scattered four hits as the St. Maries Lumberjacks opened Central Idaho League play by beating the Grangeville Bulldogs 7-0 on Monday at PotlatchDeltic Field.
Durham also scored twice for St. Maries (1-1, 1-0 CIL).
Trayven Sickels struck out 13 for Grangeville (1-5, 0-4).
St. Maries plays host to Kellogg today at 2 p.m.

COEUR d’ALENE — Junior Jenna Davenport and freshman Savannah Stevens pitched run-rule shortened no-hitters as the Vikings swept the Bears at Larry Schwenke Field.
In the first game, Davenport struck out eight and walked one, and went 3 for 3 with a pair of two-run singles for Coeur d’Alene (7-0). Stevens hit a two-run homer for the Vikings.
In the second game, Stevens fanned 11 and walked one. She also went 3 for 3 with a triple and double, three RBIs and two runs scored.
Molly Nelson was 4 for 4 with two RBIs and two runs scored. Abbey Linder went 5 for 6 and scored five runs on the day, Ellie Henderson was 4 for 6 with five RBIs, and Ollie Dudley was 4 for 6 with three RBIs.
Moscow is 1-8.
Coeur d’Alene travels to Post Falls on Thursday for a 6A Inland Empire League doubleheader.

Kellogg boys, girls win at home invite
PINEHURST — Johny Stovern and Destiny Hurd led the Kellogg boys and girls, respectively, to titles at the Kellogg Invitational on Monday at Pinehurst Golf Course.
Stovern was boys medalist with a 79 for Kellogg, which shot 349 and won by 39 strokes over Lakeside.
Hurd shot 100 for the Wildcat girls, who won by 48 strokes over St. Maries.
Zeke Watts of St. Maries and Tyson Charley of Lakeside tied for second among the boys, shooting 81.
Aubrey Schaff of Nezperce was second among the firls with a 101. Charlotte Shepard of Logos was third at 108.
