Remember those who supported rentals over residents

Coming soon to your neighborhood and mine, free for all camping and all types and overrun with short-term vacation rentals. If you can rent it, they will and can. There goes the neighborhood.

HB 583, voted in favor by Heather Scott and in opposition by Mark Sauter, removes all restrictions from counties and cities, thanks to the overdominance of cities like Sandpoint (proper) and McCall.

If your neighbor wants to turn their front yard into a camping lot, they can, and the 5 or 10 acres next to your home will become a free-for-all. There are no restrictions allowed to short-term rentals with exception of safety, which is smoke alarms for example.

That is what they have done to our Idaho. A great many of Hipcamp, Glam camp, VRBO, Air BNB, are owned by out of state or have moved here from out of state to make a fast buck on short rentals at our expense.

Think before you vote and let's get a vote to turn this around. Remember that Heather Scott voted this in.

Keep it real, 7B.
