Time running out for WOW nominations

SANDPOINT — Time is running out to recognize the extraordinary women who have quietly, powerfully and selflessly shaped our community.
Nominations for the Bonner County Women of Wisdom Lifetime Achievement Awards will close April 20, marking the final opportunity to honor the mothers, educators, mentors, leaders, volunteers and visionaries whose lives have made a lasting difference in Bonner County.
For nearly three decades, Women Honoring Women has celebrated those whose contributions often go unrecognized — women who have given their time, their talent and their hearts to lift others up. These are the women who build communities, who lead with compassion, who show up again and again without expectation of acknowledgment.
But recognition matters. It matters to pause and say: We see you. We value you. Your life’s work has made a difference. And in doing so, we help light the path for future generations to follow.
Somewhere in your life, there is a woman who has inspired you. Don’t let her story go untold. Too often, we assume there will be more time. Another year. Another chance. But this is the moment to act — to ensure that someone who has given so much is given the honor she deserves.
Since its founding, this award has recognized 140 remarkable women, creating a lasting legacy of wisdom, resilience and service in Bonner County. Each nomination adds to that story — and each story matters.
Nominations are simple, but their impact is profound. Take a few moments to reflect. Who has shaped your life? Who has made Bonner County better just by being part of it?
Each nominee reflects the very best of our community through six guiding qualities:
• Vision and collaboration — women who see what’s possible and bring others together to make it real.
• Love of learning — those who remain curious, always growing, always seeking.
• Community commitment — individuals whose sustained dedication has made Bonner County stronger.
• Leadership — women who lead with purpose, integrity and responsibility to others.
• Inspiration — role models whose lives encourage and uplift future generations.
• Grace, courage and integrity — those who face life’s challenges with strength, compassion and authenticity.
Then take the next step. Submit your nomination by April 20 and be part of honoring a lifetime of impact.
Nominations may be submitted by email to [email protected] or mailed to: Women Honoring Women, 419 Upper Humbird St., Sandpoint, ID 83864.
"Because the women who have given so much to this community deserve to be celebrated — not someday, but now," WHW organizers said.
