SANDPOINT — Weight limits remain in effect on portions of Bonner County roads as spring breakup conditions continue, Bonner County Road & Bridge officials said.

Under weight‑limit restrictions, no early morning hauling is allowed on any Bonner County‑maintained road posted with such restrictions. A red flag or no flag posted on a sign indicates weight limits are in effect.

• District 1 (south of the Long Bridge) — In District 1, weight restrictions remain in effect on the following roads: Hoo Doo Mountain, Curtis Creek, Whittum, Sunset, Road 22, Eicks, Hillside, Willford, Southside School, Talache (south of East Dufort Road), Norman Way, Walker Way, Roy Way, Whitetail Trail, Glenagry Bay, Martin Bay, Eureka, the south end of Merrill Martin Road, Birch Haven Drive, Sweeney Drive, Hannord Drive, Bella Circle, Comeback Bay Lane, Bottle Bay Road east of Ignite Road, Garrett Road, Wooded Acres Drive and Westwood Heights Drive.

• District 2 (Priest River/Priest Lake) — In District 2, all county roads have been lifted from weight‑limit restrictions.

• District 3 (Sandpoint/Clark Fork) — In District 3, weight restrictions remain in place on Upper Gold Creek Road from Gold Creek Road to Rapid Lightning Road, and on Rapid Lightning Road from the Upper Gold Creek intersection north.

Per county ordinance, it is the responsibility of haulers to contact the Bonner County Road & Bridge Department to determine whether weight‑limit restrictions are in effect. Restrictions will remain in place until changed, at which time updates will be posted.
