State to host free seminar on avoiding fraud in Kalispell
Daily Inter-Lake | UPDATED 1 day, 5 hours AGO
A representative from the office of Montana State Auditor James Brown will lead a free, public seminar on how to protect against fraud as part of the fifth annual Senior Fraud Summit in Kalispell on Saturday.
External Affairs Director Jenna McKinney will cover how fraudsters operate, what Montanans should look out for, and what to do if they think they have been the victim of fraud. The seminar is relevant to all age groups.
“Scammers and fraudsters are running increasingly sophisticated operations that target seniors and other vulnerable populations in particular. It’s important that Montanans of all stripes stay informed about how to protect themselves and their finances from exploitation by bad actors,” Brown said in a statement.
The Senior Fraud Summit will take place at the Flathead Valley Community College Arts and Tech Building, 745 Grandview Drive, from 10 to 11:30 a.m., April 11.
Registration is preferred but not required for attendance. For more information, visit flatheadtickets.com/events/2026-senior-fraud-summit-4-11-2026.
