Wanda Rae Turner, 84

Wanda Rae (White) Turner, age 84, passed away on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at her home in Ronan. She was born on June 6, 1941, in Malta to Ken and Dawn (Bingham) White.
Wanda attended and completed both grade school and high school in Saco. She then went to Denver, Colo., to further her education.
She married Donald Turner in January 1962, and they had two children, Robyn and Kevin. They later divorced.
Wanda held numerous jobs before being employed by the Civil Service where she worked for 14 years. She was employed by the State of Montana for 12 years and also owned and operated a convenience store, RV Park and a restaurant for eight years.
Wanda loved people and made many friends due to her bubbly personality. She enjoyed visiting with friends and family, traveling, painting, crafts and finding antiques.
Her children and grandchildren were a very important part of her life.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ken and Dawn White, and her grandparents, Lewis and Maysie Bingham; her sister, Cheri Akre, and brother-in-law, Dale Wherly; her nephew, Cole Hammond; and daughter-in-law Shannon Sweeney Turner.
She is survived by her daughter, Robyn Barnard, and husband Kevin Elwood of Ronan; her son, Kevin Turner, and wife Dawn of Pablo; six grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and two great-great-granddaughters; two sisters, Pat Wherly of Havre, and Gayle Hammond and husband Fred of Billings; two brothers, Frank White and wife Barbara of Billings, and Ralph White and wife Carol of Miltonvale, Kan.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
There are no services planned at this time. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Memories and condolences may be sent to the family at shriderthompsonfuneralhome.com.
