Betty Josephine Hopkins, 85

Betty Hopkins, 85, passed away Tuesday, April 7, 2026, peacefully surrounded by family. 

Betty was born Oct. 19, 1940, in Sandpoint, Idaho, where she lived the majority of her life. Betty loved gardening, canning, embroidering, and collecting rocks—daughter of Robert and Ida Shaw. Robert Shaw passed away and Ida married Floyd McNeil, who then adopted her. Betty Married Richard Martin. They had two children, Dale (Sue) Hopkins and Debbie (Tom) Petroff. Richard passed away, and Betty married Duane Hopkins. They were married for 60 years. They had one daughter, Victoria (Steve) Denham.

Betty is survived by her husband, Duane Hopkins; three children; eight grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Pat (Rich) Willer and Laura (Larry) Crain. Preceded in death by her parents and brother, John McNeil. 

Services will be held at Coffelt Funeral Service on Tuesday, April 14, at 1 p.m.
