EUREKA — Eureka’s Josh Lambertsen won four events, while Stillwater Christian put together enough depth points to win the boys’ side of their track and field dual on Tuesday.
The Cougars, with Bryson Wolf sweeping the long and triple jumps, outscored Eureka 68-65.
The Eureka girls cruised, 100-39, behind double-winners Gabriele Wells and Kricket Bridges.
Caleb Territo had a nice day with a win in the 400 and second-place finishes in the 200 and 1,600 for the Stillwater Christian boys.
Lambertsen won the 100 and 200, the pole vault and the high jump. In the 200 he clocked 23.36 seconds, which ranks fourth in Class B. In the high jump he cleared 6 feet, 2 inches — his personal best. Only Boulder’s John Quigley, who cleared 6-7 last Friday, has gone higher in Class B.
River Traina swept the hurdles races for the Eureka boys; Colin Hickman won the javelin and 800 meters.
Wells won the discus and shot put for the Lady Lions; Bridges added a high jump win to a victory in the girls pole vault.
The Cougars got a lot of their points from Jasper Bailey, who won the 100, 200 and triple jump. Eureka’s Bridges was second to Bailey in both sprints.
