POST FALLS — Crime Scene Entertainment has launched a brand-new interactive experience, the Case File: Open Detective’s Office, offering a flexible, self-guided alternative to full-length immersive murder mystery events.

Designed for individuals, couples, families and small groups, this walk-in experience allows guests to step into the role of a detective and solve a case at their own pace. No reservations, costumes or character roles are required.

During Open Detective’s Office hours (currently 3:30-9 p.m. Wednesday-Friday), guests can choose from a rotating selection of cases with varying difficulty levels. Each case takes approximately 20-30 minutes to complete.

Participants are seated in a noir-inspired “detective bullpen” where they’ll review case documents, analyze evidence and retrieve materials from an interactive evidence locker to piece together the mystery.

“This experience was designed to give people a more flexible way to enjoy what we do,” Crime Scene Entertainment owner Jeni Cook said in a Tuesday news release. “Not everyone can commit to a full-length event, or they may prefer something more casual. With the Case File, guests can walk in, become the detective and dive into a mystery on their own terms."

The experience is recommended for ages 10 and older, with younger participants welcome alongside an adult.

Admission is $15 per person or groups of four for $45. No advance booking is required, though reservations are available online.

Crime Scene Entertainment is at 3960 W. Fifth Ave., Ste. B2, Post Falls.
