Learn about Cougar Gulch history Sunday

The final in the History of Cougar Gulch presentation series will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Meadowbrook Community Hall.

The free presentation will highlight the history and culture of the Cougar Gulch area in the post-WWII and development era. Historic preservation information and resources will be available. Coffee and cookies are provided.

Author Theresa Shaffer will also present her book, "Cougar Bay Nature Preserve: Saving Coeur d'Alene's Gem," at the event. The book discusses the efforts of public and private groups that stepped up to save Cougar Bay from development in the 1990s and the establishment of Cougar Bay Nature Preserve.

Meadowbrook Community Hall is at 8088 W. Cougar Gulch Road, Coeur d'Alene.
