Libby resident concerned about access for summer activities
The Western News | UPDATED 1 month AGO
I would really like to see some more information about 3-12-26 wind storm.
I'm seeing information about trees being down on houses and power lines being down.
But what about the news about what's happening away from these homes up in the woods.. the devastation that is in the mountains right now is beyond words.
You can't get down Libby Creek, you can't get down Bear Creek, you can't get down Miller Creek.
What's this going to do for people that pick huckleberries? What's this going to do for people that want to go up to the gold panning area? Howard Lake?
Will the roads be cleared in time for summer or will this take years for the cleanup of the back roads and possibly bridges.
I have a video that's about 11 minutes long cuz I went to go up Bear Creek and turned towards Leah Lake because that's the only way I could go.
They've got part of Lee lake road cleared out because of all the homes up there and the people living off grid. But it literally looks like tornadoes wiped through the land.
