Libby's Farmer wins at Kalispell Mini Invite

Libby track and field turned in a strong all-around performance Tuesday at the Kalispell Mini Invite, with the Loggers’ girls distance crew and several versatile boys athletes leading the way against a large field at Legends Stadium.
Sophomore Capri Farmer delivered one of the top efforts of the day for Libby, finishing second in the girls 1,600 meters in 5:22.95 before winning the 3,200 in a personal-best 11:14.54.
Libby also got a pair of strong sprint performances from junior Hailey Misner, who placed ninth in the girls 100 in 13.53 and moved up to fourth in the 200 with a season-best 28.07.
Eighth-grader Reagan Vincent was another bright spot for the Libby girls, finishing ninth in the 400 with a personal-best 1:08.65, and tied for seventh in the pole vault after clearing a personal-best 6-6.
On the boys side, senior Tristan Andersen paced the Loggers with a runner-up finish in the javelin at 157-9. Andersen also showed his versatility by taking sixth in the high jump at 5-10, seventh in the long jump at 20-2.5.
Libby’s pole vaulters also stood out. Senior Urijah Bache placed third after clearing 10 feet, while junior Bridger Moe tied for fifth at 9-6 and senior Gabe Kosters also cleared 9-6 to tie for sixth. Junior Ledger Fortner added an eighth-place finish in the vault at 9-0, continuing a productive day that also included ninth in the 400 in a personal-best 57.44 and 11th in the long jump with a personal-best 19-3.5.
Kosters was also strong in the quarter-mile, placing 10th in the boys 400 in a personal-best 58.08.
Libby also got a quality distance result from junior Colter Anderson, who placed 11th in the 800 in 2:16.81. Anderson later tied for ninth in the pole vault at 8-0.
Libby will compete Saturday at Browning.
