Loggers baseball falls to AA Glacier, 19-5

The Libby Loggers put together a big second inning Tuesday, but Glacier pulled away after that for a 19-5 win in non-conference baseball action.
Libby did all of its scoring in the second, plating five runs to briefly take the lead. The Loggers finished with three hits and were led offensively by Elijah Foulke, who went 2-for-3 with a double and three RBIs. Riley Stoltz added a hit and drove in two runs, while Bransen Holzer, Kale Riddle, Kale Hall, Noah Gillespie and Stoltz each scored a run.
After Libby’s five-run burst, Glacier responded with 10 runs in the third inning and added six more in the fourth to take control. Glacier finished with eight hits.
Holzer and Hall each stole a base for Libby. The Loggers also drew three walks and got hit by three pitches.
The loss dropped the Loggers to 1-1 on the season. Libby played at Bigfork Thursday and Saturday at Noxon.
