T-Mobile enhances wireless network coverage in Sandpoint

T-Mobile has extend its 5G network with the addition of two new cell sites in Sandpoint, strengthening coverage and capacity along the northeast and east areas of Lake Pend Oreille and Highway 200.
The new sites deliver 5G extended range and ultra capacity service, providing increased coverage, higher capacity and faster data speeds for residents, businesses and first responders. They are two of 17 sites T-Mobile has built or upgraded across Bonner County since 2024.
Residents and businesses in Sandpoint also have access to T-Mobile Home Internet, which leverages the company’s 5G network to provide reliable, high-speed internet without annual contracts or data caps. As T-Mobile continues to invest in both wireless and home connectivity, these upgrades help ensure the community stays connected today and well into the future.
The enhancements in Bonner County are part of T-Mobile’s broader network investment strategy across Idaho. Since 2024, the company has invested more than $50 million statewide, adding 39 new cell sites and upgrading 365 sites, reinforcing its long-term commitment to delivering high-performance wireless service in communities of all sizes.
