Glacier tracksters impressive in dual sweep of CMR Friday

Glacier put together an all-around showing against CMR on Friday evening at Glacier High School, piling wins, personal records and a sweep
On the boys’ side, Cooper Pelc led the way with a dominant sprint and hurdle performance. He won the 100 meters in a personal-best 11.34 seconds, added a victory in the 200 (22.43), and took the 110 hurdles in 14.55. Pelc’s hurdles mark ranks third in Class AA this season, while his 200 time sits fourth.
The distance group stayed sharp as well. Jude Sparkman won both the 800 (2:03.22) and 3,200 (11:00.33), while Gabe Ackerly took the 1,600 in 4:41.53 and finished second in the 3,200.
Kruz Robinson added another win in the 300 hurdles (42.43), placing his time fifth in AA, and the Wolfpack relays stayed strong, winning the 4x100 (43.11) and 4x400 (3:37.89).
In the field, Will Astle had a big day with wins in the shot put (47 feet) and discus (146-2.5, a PR). Spencer Hodge swept the jumps, winning the long jump (20-2.5) and pole vault (12-0), while Asher Knopik cleared a personal-best 5-10 to win the high jump. Brecken Thorn added a win in the triple jump (38-10).
On the girls’ side, Zeila Wagner won the 100 meters in 12.93 and added a long jump win at 17-3, her jump ranks second in AA. while Mikenzie Bauer won the 200 (28.11) and placed second in the 100. Dacia Benkelman captured the 400 in 1:01.30.
The distance crew was led by Lauren Bissen, who won the 3,200 in 10:59.91, a time that ranks second in AA. Hailey Fiala (5:52.35) and Jamie Murphy (5:59.71) paced the 1,600, while Raelynn Keller took second in the 800 (2:44.16). Addison Brisendine won the 100 hurdles in 18.05, and Glacier added wins in the 4x100 (49.87) and a runner-up finish in the 4x400.
In the field, Rylee Bigelow swept the throws with wins in the shot put (33-2) and discus (125-8.5), with her discus mark currently ranked No. 1 in Class AA. Remi Osler won the javelin at 124-2, a throw that ranks second in AA.
Glacier won the boys dual 129-16; the Wolfpack girls won 92-39.
