Kristina Hackwith, 76
Coeur d'Alene Press | UPDATED 2 hours, 48 minutes AGO
Our mother, Kristina Kay Hackwith, went "Home" unexpectedly and suddenly on Saturday night, March 21, 2026, in Coeur d’Alene, after a full, loving day with her family on Saturday in the North Idaho area. She was here one second and in heaven the next second.
Kristina was born in Moscow in 1949. She is survived by her brother, Bill Flomer (retired U.S. Air Force and pilot); husband of 54 years, Denis K. Hackwith; daughters Tracy Jacobs and Toni Hackwith; sons Brian K. Hackwith (Erin Hackwith) and Jason Hackwith (Lindsay Hackwith); and too many amazing grandchildren, great-grandchildren, adopted grandchildren and children whom she loved to mention here. And the same for nieces and nephews.
Her life was fulfilled by loving, caring, serving, praying and being together with her family (which was basically everyone). She did this right to her last second.
Please live in the present, love God and love your neighbor as Mom did.
A full celebration of life will be held later at Congregational Presbyterian Church in Lewiston, likely in June. "For now, we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known. And now these three remain: faith, hope, and love. But the greatest of these is love." (1 Corinthians 13:12-13)
