International Dark Sky week begins Monday

Hello Bonner County community!  Monday, April 13th is the start of International Dark Sky Week. It would be great if, from Monday 4/13-4/20, all of us could turn off our outside lights when we are not using them in support of dark sky week. Even better would be to continue that practice beyond this one week. Sandpoint does have a dark sky initiative already in place, and is going to start enforcing it, so this is a good time to start supporting that. Wouldn't it be great to be able to see meteor showers and the northern lights right in town? So please consider joining me in celebrating International Dark Sky Week. The migrating bird, bees, butterflies and other pollinators, and your neighbors will all thank you!!
