The Plains Planning Board will conduct a public hearing on Wednesday, April 22, 7:00 pm in the Town Hall, 101 W Lynch Street, Plains, MT. The Board will consider the following agenda item and make a recommendation to the Plains Town Council, who will take final action. The Plains Planning Board have completed an update to the Town of Plains Comprehensive Plan (Growth Policy) and are seeking resident input on the plan, prior to final review and adoption. The Town of Plains Comprehensive Plan (Growth Policy) is a long-range plan, meant to help guide land use decisions and focus the community’s vision for the next five years. The growth policy is not a regulatory document and cannot be used solely to make decisions on proposed land use projects or development, but it is the necessary foundation for all other land use regulations. Copies of the draft document are available for public review at Town Hall, and on the Town’s website. Verbal or written comments may be given at the public hearing. Written comments may also be submitted before the meeting. They should be received by 6:30 p.m. on April 22, 2026. Mineral County Road Dept. Invitation for bid The Mineral County Road Department will be accepting bids to perform road work on Cooperative Roads with the Ninemile Ranger District. 2026 Fish Creek Blading and Maintenance Bid packages may be picked up at the Mineral County Courthouse beginning on April 8, 2026 and must be returned no later than April 22, 2026 by 5:00 PM. Bids will be opened April 23rd in the commissioner’s room of the Mineral County Courthouse at 10:30 AM. The proposed project consists of construction of a new residential structure within the floodplain.
