ATHLETE OF THE WEEK: Sage Medeiros, Sandpoint Baseball

This week's Athlete of the Week is Sage Medeiros of Sandpoint Baseball.

A 6-foot-5-inch right-handed pitcher, Sage threw five perfect innings, allowing no hits or walks, and struck out six batters as Sandpoint completed a sweep of Lake City with an 8-1 win. The standout ace, who holds a 5-0 record and boasts an 0.55 ERA and 38 strikeouts across 25.2 innings on the year, then fanned a career-high 11 batters across six quality innings in a 16-2 victory over Lewiston.
