Braedon Ferris competing for MSU-Billings

Braedon Ferris not just continuing his track and field throwing career, he is excelling at it as a freshman competing for MSU-Billings.
A true freshman, Braedon was named MSU-B athlete of the meet at the Northwest Nazarene University Meet in Nampa, Idaho last week, throwing the discus 150 feet, 7.5 inches for fifth place in that event, and tossing the hammer 141-2.5 for tenth place in that specialty.
Braedon’s mother Trenna Ferris, the Thompson Falls track and field coach, said Braedon is the first freshman to ever clear 150 feet for MSU-B, and that his throw ranks fifth all-time for the school.
Throwing the lighter, slightly smaller high school discus last spring for the Blue Hawks, Braedon won second place at the State B meet his senior season with a throw of 165-5.
