Coeur d'Alene Press | UPDATED 2 hours, 1 minute AGO
Constance “Connie” L. Langer, 83, of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, died March 26, 2026, at North Idaho Hospice in Coeur d'Alene. She was born Aug. 22, 1942, to Charles and Marie Perry in Glendale, Calif. Connie grew up in Burbank, Calif., and attended Roosevelt Elementary, Luther Burbank Jr. High and John Burroughs High School.
Connie married Bill Langer on Nov. 20, 1976, in Las Vegas. After settling in Burbank, Connie worked for Lockheed Aircraft Corp. for 20 years with offices in Burbank and Palmdale, Calif. Connie spent 20 years in the 'Skunk Works' providing classified security background checks, briefings and document controls.
Connie lived 57 years in Burbank and 27 in Coeur d’Alene. Connie loved her time in Coeur d’Alene and North Idaho. She often said she should have worked at the Coeur d’Alene Chamber of Commerce so she could share her love for North Idaho.
After moving to Coeur d’Alene, she worked at Fairwinds Retirement Community and North Idaho Pulmonary until 2005, when she retired. Her home was her castle, and she was happiest in the backyard. She loved to watch the birds, squirrels and her dogs, Cracker, Oliver, Lilly and Willie.
Connie spent 12 years with the Burbank Center for the Retarded (BCR) as a board member and two years as the President. BCR was a community organization dedicated to training and acclimating individuals with challenges to mainstream living. Connie was also a member of Coeur d’Alene Nazarene Church and the Salvation Army.
Connie is survived by her husband, Bill, of Coeur d’Alene; son Brad Weaver and wife Karen of Enoch, Utah; grandchildren: Jake, Kelsey, Brayden and wife Paige; great-grandchild, Ophelia Weaver of Spokane; brother-in-law Rick and Mary Langer of Burbank; nephews Andrew and Mollie Langer of Coeur d’Alene and Chris and China Langer of Vista, Calif.
