Full caption: Sandpoint's Logan McGrann recently committed to continue his soccer career at Whitworth University (NCAA Division III) in Spokane. A three-year varsity starter, McGrann, a 5-foot-10-inch defensive and attacking midfielder, was named the 5A Inland Empire League Co-MVP as a senior, was an all-league selection as a sophomore, and was the league's Newcomer of the Year as a freshman. This past season, in which he led the Bulldogs to a record of 14-5-2 and a 70-22 goal differential, McGrann received 5A All-State Second Team honors for his efforts on the pitch. "From the start of his freshman season, it was evident that Logan had what it takes to play at the next level," Sandpoint High head coach Dan Anderson said. "He is a player who pays attention to details, and does all of the simple things correctly. This will serve him well throughout his college career. He leads by example on and off the field and leaves behind big shoes to fill. I cannot wait to see what his future holds."
