Polson rallies past Libby softball

POLSON — Polson capitalized on three Libby walks and a Maddie Turner bases-clearing double to score six runs in the fifth inning and rally past Libby Tuesday in high school softball.


Hadleigh Wood knocked a two-run homer for the Loggers, who found their own six-spot in the fourth to take an 8-3 lead. 


Libby (3-2) brought the tying run to the plate in the seventh after a leadoff single from Maddie Willis, but three consecutive outs ended the game. 


Logan McCrea threw 3 2-3 inning for the Pirates (5-3), allowing two hits and no runs. She fanned three. Turner added 3 1-3 innings in the circle. 


Carmen Kohler went 4 1-3 innings for Libby. 


MAC 17, Eureka 16


ST. IGNATIUS — GG Hawk hit a one-out two-run double in the bottom of the seventh to give Mission-Arlee-Charlo a wild walk off win 17-16 over Eureka in high school softball. 


The Lions scored six runs in the top of the frame to take a 16-12 advantage, thanks in part to a two-run double from Laina Conard that started the rally. 


Kieran Incashola doubled to drive in a run in the seventh as MAC’s comeback began. 


Ella Parker and Peyton Hout added RBIs to set up Hawk’s heroics. 


Marley Neesvig drove in five runs for the Lions. 


Hawk had five RBIs to lead MAC.
