The Plains Planning Board will conduct a public hearing on Wednesday, April 22, 7:00 pm in the Town Hall, 101 W Lynch Street, Plains, MT. The Board will consider the following agenda item and make a recommendation to the Plains Town Council, who will take final action. The Plains Planning Board have completed an update to the Town of Plains Comprehensive Plan (Growth Policy) and are seeking resident input on the plan, prior to final review and adoption. The Town of Plains Comprehensive Plan (Growth Policy) is a long-range plan, meant to help guide land use decisions and focus the community’s vision for the next five years. The growth policy is not a regulatory document and cannot be used solely to make decisions on proposed land use projects or development, but it is the necessary foundation for all other land use regulations. This resolution shall become effective 14 days after publication of the second notice identified in the above paragraph, unless appealed to the district court by a taxpayer in compliance with and provided in 20-6-604, MCA.
