Central committee clarifies position on mailers

Bonners Ferry Herald | UPDATED 3 weeks, 5 days AGO

The Boundary County Republican Central Committee wishes to clarify that it did not produce, authorize, approve, or distribute the recently circulated political mail pieces and voter guides referencing Boundary County and using the terms “Official Republican Voter Guide,” “Official Boundary County Republican Voter Guide,” and “official endorsed Republican candidates.”

Because these materials reference Boundary County and use “official” language, some voters could reasonably conclude that they reflect the official position of the Boundary County Republican Central Committee. They do not.

The BCRCC had no involvement in the preparation, approval, or distribution of these materials. The endorsements and candidate recommendations contained in them are not endorsements of the Boundary County Republican Central Committee.

The BCRCC does not endorse candidates in contested Republican primary races. Our longstanding position is that Republican voters should hear directly from the candidates, evaluate their records and priorities, and make their own informed decisions at the ballot box.

We respect the right of other organizations to communicate their own views to voters. At the same time, we believe it is important to ensure that voters are not confused about what is, and is not, an official communication of the Boundary County Republican Central Committee.

Boundary County voters who want to hear directly from the candidates are encouraged to attend the Panhandle Republican Women State Legislative Candidate Forum, where candidates will be able to speak for themselves and answer questions in an open public setting.

Panhandle Republican Women State Legislative Candidate Forum will be held at 6 p.m. on April 30, 2026, in the Bonners Ferry High School auditorium.

The Boundary County Republican Central Committee remains committed to transparency, fairness, and an informed Republican electorate. We encourage all Republican voters to participate in the primary election and to make their decisions based on direct information from the candidates themselves.
