Linda Reksten offers experienced, principled leadership
Lake County Leader | UPDATED 3 weeks, 5 days AGO
On June 2, we have the responsibility to nominate our candidates for Montana Dist. 13 (Lake County) House of Representatives.
Representative Linda Reksten is running to retain her office for one more two-year term. Beginning in 2021, she has served with integrity and with our community wellbeing forefront in mind. This takes courage and hard work.
One example of Rep. Reksten’s effective representation was her support of 2023 legislation offering bed-tax grants to “build tourism in a manageable, sustainable way, stimulate and diversify the local economy, protect local resources, and foster community pride.”
As a result of Rep. Reksten’s advocacy, Mission Valley Ice Arena applied for, and was selected to receive potentially $2.75 million toward the planned multi-purpose area, offering indoor sports and exhibition/trade show space right here in Polson.
Republicans will have a choice on their June 2 Primary ballot between this experienced, principled, effective Lake County taxpayer with deep roots in the Polson Community who is well-connected to state leadership, and a 21-year old challenger and Sentinel High School graduate.
While I admire a young person’s passion to engage in politics, my vote will be with the experienced, local home-owning candidate who has proven her dedication to representing our community values, Linda Reksten.
I urge you to vote for Reksten on June 2, as well.
– Carmine Mowbray, Polson
