“Avian biodiversity of the Flathead Nation” – 7 p.m. April 16 at the North Lake County Library in Polson; Cara Thompson presents this installment of the Mission Mountain Audubon’s community program. Admission is free and the public is welcome.

Mission Valley Choral Society: Let Freedom Sing – 1 p.m. April 18 at St. Ignatius Mission Church and 4 p.m. April 19 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Polson; the choral group celebrates the nation’s 250th anniversary with 14 inspirational pieces spanning a variety of styles, including traditional spirituals, jazz and patriotic standards. Wendy Woo Girl Crush – 7 p.m. April 24 at Polson High School; Wendy Woo, a powerhouse singer-songwriter and guitarist from Colorado, is known for her soulful vocals and magnetic stage presence. With her all-female band, Girl Crush, she delivers a dynamic blend of original compositions and reimagined covers spanning multiple genres. Polson Rural Fire Open House – 10 a.m.-2 p.m. April 25 at the Polson Rural Fire Station, 25 Regatta Road; check out the station and its equipment and learn more about the upcoming levy and how to become a volunteer with the department which responds to an average of 300 calls for service per year, ranging from structure and wildland fires, to car accidents and public assistance calls.
