Baseball: C-Falls' Young 1-hits Libby

LIBBY — Nico Young threw a five-inning one-hitter and helped his cause with three hits as Columbia Falls shut out Libby 10-0 in high school baseball Thursday night.
Young had an RBI double in the midst of an eight-run fourth inning that put the Wildcats (5-2) in command 10-0, and he also scored twice. Zeke Dunn also had an RBI double in the fourth, during which Columbia Falls took advantage of two Logger errors and walk while rapping out six hits. Dunn had two RBIs
Lincoln Fisher scored twice for the Wildkats; Wyatt Dodson had two hits and he and Jett Pitts each hit a double. Young allowed one base runner: Hunter Rooney, who doubled in the second for Libby (2-3). He fanned 10 Loggers.
The game ended early under the mercy rule.
