Lynn Paul Gauchay, 78, known affectionately as "Groucho," passed away on April 6, 2026, in Kalispell. Born on Aug. 15, 1947, Lynn's vibrant personality and artistic talents left a lasting impression on all who knew him.

He was passionate, family oriented, and known for his loud sense of humor. A self taught artist, he excelled in carpentry, leather work, drawing and painting.

His love for the outdoors was evident through his regular camping trips and days spent floating the river. Always running on "Gauchay time," he was often late to the party, but always quick to become the life of it. It was not unusual for Lynn to seek a quiet place under the stars to reflect, and howl at "Whiteface."

He is survived by a loving family that includes his sons, Dewey and Chris, daughters, Jessie and Dawn, daughter-in-law, Laura, son-in-law, Dan, grandchildren, Anthony, Dylan, Cora, Camden, Izack and Emalyn; and sisters, Sandra and family, and Connie and family.

He will be profoundly missed but fondly remembered by his family and all who knew him.
