COEUR d’ALENE — Today’s Christian Country, a Rathdrum-based radio station heard locally on KYMS 89.9 FM, was named Station of the Year for the second consecutive year on April 6 at the 30th annual Inspirational Country Music Association Awards at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, Tenn.

“This honor reflects the heart of our mission — to serve our communities with uplifting music, meaningful programming and a commitment to faith-based outreach,” said Lee Lancaster, president and station manager.

Today’s Christian Country serves listeners in North Idaho through KYMS 89.9 FM, which can be heard from Bonners Ferry and Sandpoint south through Coeur d’Alene to St. Maries. The network also includes stations in Georgia.

The station provides music programming, public service announcements, community event coverage and faith-based programming.

Nine stations were nominated in the Station of the Year category.
