Student musicians shine at Piano Performance Festival

The North Idaho Music Teachers Association held its annual Piano Performance Festival last weekend (April 11-12) at North Idaho College. This year’s festival featured distinguished guest adjudicator Deborah Rambo Sinn, an internationally respected pianist, educator and clinician.
The festival gives students opportunities to perform prepared repertoires in a supportive, educational setting. Participants receive individualized feedback from a master teacher to refine their artistry, techniques and musical expression. Unlike competitive events, the festival emphasizes growth, confidence-building and musical achievement.
The event culminated on Sunday with an Honors Recital that featured selected outstanding performances from festival participants.
