Frances Louise (Whiteside) Meadows died Tuesday morning, April 7, 2026 in Siloam Springs, Arkansas. She was born on Jan. 4, 1933 in Aurora, Missouri to Reginald Gibson Whiteside and Martha Frances (Grammer) Whiteside.
She graduated from Aurora High School in 1950. She was married to Garmen H. Meadows February 24th, 1955. They moved to Missoula, MT in 1956. Garmen's job took them back to Missouri for a brief time before they returned to Montana – first to Billings and then to Kalispell in 1963 where they stayed and raised five children.
Louise taught 5th grade for a brief period at Cornelius Hedges School. She loved animals and showed Arabian horses, raised several breeds of Terriers, and found her creative outlet in decorating and flower gardening.
Louise was preceded in death by Garmen in October of 2018.
She is survived by her five children, Nathan Hudson and wife Raelene of Siloam Springs, AR; Merrie Ford and husband Tim of Bigfork, MT; Kathy Van Someren and husband Mike of Kalispell, MT; David Meadows of Kalispell; and Daniel Meadows of Kalispell; one sister, April Diane Foster of Santa Fe, NM; 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Louise was a Christian, and professed faith in Jesus Christ as her Lord and Saviour. May she rest in peace.
Her children are planning a family memorial later in the summer.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Conrad Mansion Museum in Kalispell.
