3 hurt in collision south of Moses Lake

MOSES LAKE — A two-vehicle collision south of Moses Lake sent three people to the hospital Wednesday, according to a press release from the Washington State Patrol.
At about 10:40 a.m., Neil J. Fulwiler, 95, of Malaga, was pulled off on the southbound shoulder of state Route 17 near the intersection with Baseline Road East about three miles south of Moses Lake, while Michele A. Razey, 51, of Quincy, was driving southbound, according to the statement. Fulwiler attempted to re-enter traffic and struck Razey’s vehicle in the side. Both vehicles then came to rest on the northbound shoulder.
Fulwiler and his passenger Ruth A. Wahl, 84, of Malaga, were transported to Samaritan Hospital, according to the WSP press release. Razey was airlifted to Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane.
All parties were wearing seat belts, according to the statement, and neither drugs nor alcohol was a factor in the collision. The cause was given as failure to yield.
