A man with a longboard reportedly whiled the day away in a fast-food parking lot off U.S. 2 West. An assistant manager contacted the Kalispell Police Department after a woman complained he was taking pictures of her car and other vehicles. Officers spoke to the man, who said he was playing Pokémon Go, an augmented reality cellphone game, and that there was a gym (real-world sites people can go to play) set up behind the location. He had to train elsewhere when the employee asked officers to move him along and tell him not to return.

Two bullies were allegedly wreaking havoc in an apartment complex where they had been throwing rocks at children and throwing people’s belongings into a drainage ditch. A woman called the police when the youths targeted her child, threatening to beat them up, and wanted to file restraining orders. Officers spoke with both mothers and reportedly said it sounded like keeping their children separated would solve many of their issues.

Officers tossed a suspicious bag sitting in a parking lot next to a playground. It was reportedly filled with junk, trash, alcohol and brown powder.

A neighbor’s aggressive black Labrador mix allegedly kept getting loose and, in one instance, charged at a man, growling and baring its teeth. In a recent incident, the dog reportedly tried to bite his wife. He told police that a woman would eventually drive by, call the dog and take it home to an unknown address.

A man thought criminal mischief was afoot, alleging that teen boys tried to kick his door in, noting that it wasn’t the first time. Officers advised him to set up security cameras.

Officers received a later call about two teens wearing bandannas over their faces who reportedly ran up to a man’s door and started banging on it in the afternoon. He chased after them, yelling. The duo returned later that night and started throwing snowballs at his house.

A resident allegedly noticed someone had kicked in their garage door, which was stuck and not working.

Someone called the police to report an infant left in a car seat unattended for about three minutes when two people got into the vehicle and left. The caller thought they could be delivery drivers.

A director at a location requested extra patrol in the area after allegedly finding a homeless encampment in the corner of the yard.
