The next day, the Badgers also sent a small delegation of discus and shot put athletes to the Van Kuren Invitational at Cheney High School in Washington on April 18. Several Badger performances stood out.

Hallie Hartman had a shot put throw of 40 feet, 7 inches at the Van Kuren Invitational, a new meet record. It was the second straight day she placed first in the shot put at a meet. Logan Archibald and Hallie Hartman each won individual events for the Badgers in Coeur d’Alene, with Archibald victorious in the high jump and Hartman winning the shot put. Archibald also added a second place in the pole vault and Hartman was fourth in discus.

Several other Badgers had impressive performances. Riley Beggerly was second in the long jump and Hana Hartman was second in shot put. Beggerly was fourth in the high jump.
