Lillian Dvorak, 93

Lillian (Tuhy) Dvorak 93, of Apache Junction, Arizona passed away on April 9, 2026. Lillian was born Sept. 21, 1932, to Steve and Agnes (Zastoupil) Tuhy on a farm two miles Northwest of South Heart, North Dakota. She attended school in South Heart and helped her parents on the farm until she married Vincent R. Dvorak on June 4, 1951, at St Mary’s catholic church in South Heart.
After Vince’s tour in the Army, they moved back to South Heart where they farmed for a few years. In 1957 they moved to Billings and later settled in Whitefish.
Lillian worked as a certified nursing assistant at North Valley Hospital in Whitefish for many years. She enjoyed the outdoors to include camping and fishing. They moved to Arizona in the 1990s and eventually settled in Apache Junction. Lillian was a member of St. George’s parish and the Ladies of the Desert Guild in Apache Junction. She was active in her community, enjoyed playing bingo and cards, and won the cribbage tournament a few times over the years.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Vincent (2012), her daughter, Dahpne Kirkwood Newberg, Oregon, her parents, Steve and Agnes Tuhy, brothers, Albert Tuhy, Robert Tuhy, William Tuhy and Joseph Tuhy, sisters, Minnie Heidt, Margaret Hibl, Mary Mann and no name Tuhy, grandson, Joseph Dvorak, granddaughter, Heather (Dvorak) Carstairs and great-granddaughter, Liliana Cunningham.
She is survived by sons, Gary (Linda) Dvorak Barnegat, New Jersey, Jeff (Darlene) Dvorak, Bonners Ferry, Idaho, Greg (Ronda) Dvorak, Eureka, Donna (Chris) Watson, Hamilton, Ohio, ten grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on June 10 at St. Wenceslaus parish in Dickinson, North Dakota. Interment to follow at St. Wenceslaus Cemetery.
