Rick Springfield will take the Festival at Sandpoint stage Saturday, Aug. 8, as part of the Sandpoint-based organization’s 2026 summer concert series.
Member presale runs from Wednesday, April 22, at 10 a.m. to Thursday, April 23, at 10 p.m. Tickets go on sale to the public Friday, April 24, at 10 a.m. Pacific.
Over the past four decades, Rick Springfield has worn many hats as an entertainer. He is the creator of some of the finest power-pop of the ’80s and a Grammy-winning singer, songwriter and musician who has sold 25 million albums and scored 17 U.S. Top 40 hits, including “Jessie’s Girl,” “Don’t Talk to Strangers,” “An Affair of the Heart,” “I’ve Done Everything for You,” “Love Somebody” and “Human Touch.”
Springfield is also an accomplished actor, starring opposite Meryl Streep in the feature film “Ricki and the Flash,” delivering a chameleonic performance as Dr. Irving Pitlor in HBO’s drama “True Detective,” earning acclaim for his portrayal of Lucifer on the CW series “Supernatural,” and most recently playing Pastor Charles on FX’s hit series “American Horror Story.”
An author as well, Springfield wrote the candid 2010 memoir “Late, Late at Night,” which Rolling Stone named one of the 25 greatest rock memoirs of all time, and the 2014 comedic novel “Magnificent Vibration.” Both earned rave reviews and spots on the New York Times Best Sellers list.
In 2014, Springfield was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, located around the corner from the first apartment he lived in after arriving in the U.S. from Australia in 1971. His SiriusXM radio show, “Working Class DJ,” airs weekly on 80s on 8. His new album, “Automatic,” is out now and marks his first release of all-new original material in five years.
Tickets are $78.82, including taxes and fees. Gates open at 6 p.m., with music starting at 7:30 p.m.
The Festival at Sandpoint is a nonprofit organization that hosts an annual summer concert series at War Memorial Field. This year’s Festival runs from July 30 through Aug. 9.
