Flathead locals and visitors are invited to enjoy an annual Whitefish tradition, The Rocky Mountain Rendezvous: Project Whitefish Wine and Food Fest.

For the last 35 years, Whitefish has hosted the wine tasting, food festival and auction. This year’s event, with a Wild, Wild West theme, will be at Grouse Mountain Lodge on Thursday, April 30 from 6 – 9 p.m.

The annual event raises much-needed funds to support kids in our community through sports and the performing arts. All proceeds from this benefit go to Project Whitefish Kids, the organization that maintains the Smith Fields Sports Complex for several sports teams, and the Whitefish Theatre Company.

The food is always superb with a fine sampling of cuisines from local restaurants including Mambo’s, Logan’s Grill at Grouse, Ed McGrew’s Barbeque, Latitude 48, Forage Montana, Fleur Bake Shop, and Whitefish Lake Restaurant. Summit Beverage always makes wine tasting a delight, providing a wonderful selection of wines and introducing new varieties for tasters to sample. Craft beer will also be provided by Blackstar Brewing Company.

A silent and live auction highlights the evening with lots of exciting items available. Local businesses and individuals have generously donated auction items including a Disney World package, a private dinner with local culinary chefs Tim Good and John Evenhius, a private movie party at The O’Shaughnessy Center, sporting equipment, wine, baskets from local businesses, restaurant gift certificates, theatre tickets and more.

John Dunnigan and David Walburn will be playing music during the evening, and Mikey Winn is the emcee.

Seating is limited to 150. Tickets are $100 per person and include all food and beverages. A table for ten is $1,000. Donations are also accepted.

Tickets can be purchased at the O’Shaughnessy Center Box Office and online at www.whitefishtheatreco.org or call 406-862-5371.
