If you are not afraid of opera, this one is for you.

Bel Canto Opera presents “Singvergnuegen,” a lighthearted operatic experience taking the audience through "an almost joyous journey" through spring.

The journey takes place at Little Carnegie, 110 Main St., on Friday, April 24, at 7 p.m. Audiences will be invited on an immersive artistic journey, complete with a few delightful surprises.

For over seven years, Bel Canto has entertained audiences with unique operatic experiences, most often involving a humorous touch and surprising twists — always surrounding beautiful music.

“This performance is for those who are not afraid of opera,” said artistic director Karin Wedemeyer. “If you are, let us surprise you!”

Guest artist, renowned baritone Max Mendez, will be joined by mezzo-soprano Brenda Rutledge and soprano Karin Wedemeyer, who also serves as the group’s creator. Accompanist Matthew Goodrich brings a depth of support for each vocalist on stage.

The evening features selections by Brahms, Mozart, Strauss and more, weaving together solos, duets and trios into a vibrant and engaging musical experience. Audiences can expect a lively and memorable performance — one that lingers long after the final note.

“We’ll be sending the audience home with plenty of earworms,” teases Wedemeyer.

Secure your seat now for another unforgettable night on stage.
