The Flathead Valley Youth Chorus is proud to present its final concert of the 2026-2027 season on Sunday, April 26.
The 40 members of the youth choir have been working hard all year, and will present a fun concert full of musical variety. The concert will open with “Kuwa Furaha,” a song about the joy of singing. The concert will close with the gospel-inspired “I Sing Because I’m Happy,” featuring a full rhythm section to complement the choir.
The concert begins at 3 p.m. and pre-concert music begins around 2:30 p.m. in the Flathead High School Auditorium. The concert is free.
The Flathead Valleyaires Barbershop Group will provide pre-concert music in the auditorium leading up to the concert start, and an ice cream social will follow to celebrate the singers’ hard work.
“As we bring our second season to a close, I have been thinking a lot about music as a connecting force,” says Artistic Director Jennifer Stephens. “Singing builds new neural pathways, connects us to the other people in the room. It connects us to other times and places. Music connects us to our shared humanity in powerful ways that are unique and essential as we strive to raise children who are empathetic, grounded, and courageous.”
The Flathead Valley Youth Chorus will also sing the National Anthem at the June 2 Range Riders game at Glacier Bank Park.
