A Ronan woman is accused of stabbing another woman during a fight. Meadow Butterfly Blackwolf, 19, entered a plea of not guilty in District Court in Polson April 16 to felony assault with a weapon.

According to court records, on the evening of April 1, an officer with Ronan Police responded to a report of two women fighting. Upon arrival the officer saw two women on the ground actively fighting and separated them.

One of the women was bleeding from multiple areas of her body. No injuries were seen on Blackwolf.

The officer located an antler-handled, single-blade knife in the immediate area of the fight. After securing the knife in his patrol unit, the officer called for an ambulance.

The ambulance crew indicated the victim suffered several stab wounds and transported her to St. Luke Hospital in Ronan. The victim told investigators that Blackwolf hit her first.

Blackwolf allegedly admitted to stabbing the victim. The charging documents make no mention of a possible motive for the attack.

Judge John A, Mercer set the case for trial on Sept. 21 and granted a request for bond being lowered to $5,000 with the condition Blackwolf adhere to alcohol monitoring.
