Debbie Marie Willcox, lovingly known as Debbie, passed away on April 15, 2026, in Bonners Ferry, Idaho, at the age of 72.

Debbie was born on February 25, 1954, in Torrance, California, to Lester and Virginia Sitze, both of whom preceded her in death. She is survived by her sister, Peggy Farr, and her daughter, Alicia Yocum, who was her only child and the center of her world. Debbie was also preceded in death by her beloved husband, Brian Willcox.

Debbie made her home in Bonners Ferry, Idaho, where she lived for nearly 40 years. She dedicated much of her career to working with the Soil Conservation District, she then moved into the Farm Service Agency from which she eventually retired. Through her work and her life, she became a familiar and steady presence in her community.

She will be remembered for her strong will, her deep love for her family, and the simple joys that made her happiest — shopping, her miniature dachshunds, caring for her chickens, and the life she built with her husband and daughter. Debbie's love was steadfast, and those closest to her knew her as someone who showed up in her own determined and enduring way.

A funeral service will be held on May 2, 2026, at 11 a.m. at Bonners Ferry Funeral Home, 6485 Harrison St., Bonners Ferry, Idaho 83805. To leave a message or memory for the family go to bonnersferryfuneralhome.com. Bonners Ferry Funeral Home is caring for the family.
