Gather ’round and hear a tale or two at a free Flathead Story Concert in celebration of National Tell-A-Story Day April 27.

The event will showcase personal essays written by students in Flathead Valley Community College's continuing education course on live storytelling taught by Flathead Story Concert founders, Glenn and Barbara Schiffman. Other storytellers include Authors of the Flathead and The Making Place board members. The theme for this year's Tell-a-Story Day event is "Taking a Chance."

“Story fans will be surprised, amused and inspired by the half-dozen-plus true stories presented by the locals who lived them," a press release states.

The story concert will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. in room 209 of the FVCC Arts and Technology building, room 209. Doors open at 6:45 p.m. Stories will be appropriate for ages 16 and up.
