PREP ROUNDUP: Rain wipes out prep slate

Rain washed out the entire prep schedule on Wednesday afternoon.
Wednesday's scheduled resumption of a prep baseball game between Coeur d'Alene and Post Falls was rescheduled for today at 4 p.m. at Post Falls High.
Coeur d'Alene (8-6, 5-2 6A Inland Empire League) and Post Falls (9-8, 5-2) were tied 12-12 heading to the seventh before the April 7 game was called off due to darkness. The winner will advance to the District 1 best-of-3 game championship series as the league champion starting next Tuesday at 4 p.m. The loser will host Lake City (5-15, 1-7) in a loser-out game on Friday at 4 p.m.
Wednesday's nonleague softball doubleheader between Timberlake and host St. Maries was postponed due to rain. No makeup date was announced.
Timberlake's scheduled doubleheader against Bonners Ferry on Friday was also cancelled as the Badgers will not have enough players to field a team.
Wednesday's prep tennis match between Coeur d'Alene and Lake City was rescheduled for today, with boys matches at Lake City High and girls and mixed doubles matches to be played at Coeur d'Alene High.
