PREP LACROSSE REWIND: Sandpoint boys post a perfect 3-0 record at Missoula Tourney

Full caption: The Sandpoint High varsity lacrosse team erased a six-game losing streak when they defeated Great Falls (10-9), Bozeman (13-0) and the Missoula Wild (9-6) at a tournament held April 18 and 19 at Fort Missoula Regional Park, which Big Sky High utilizes as their home field.
Across the three games, junior Kohta Fisher tallied a team-high 11 goals, eight of which came during the team's win over Bozeman, and added a team-high six assists and five ground balls to the stat sheet. Sophomore Liam Bowen contributed a team-high 32 ground balls, 15 of which came in the victory over Great Falls, won 34 of his 45 face-off attempts, and recorded two goals of his own. Senior Tanyon Sprinkle scooped up 23 ground balls to go along with a pair of goals and assists. In goal, junior Ryan Gaffney stopped 14 shots and sophomore Jaxson McElroy saved 10 shots of his own. Additional top performers included junior Jakeb Addison (13 ground balls), freshman Jackson Lankamer (two goals), senior Oliver Porietis (four goals and two assists), junior Keagan Cole (two goals) and sophomore Trenton Cross (three assists).
"The team knew this weekend was a chance to reset and get back to the level that we know we can play at," Sandpoint High head coach Ty Wilson said. "They took full advantage of the opportunity and played really solid lacrosse on both sides of the ball. I’m very excited to see what we can do with this momentum for the remainder of our regular season games and carry it into regionals."
Players who competed at the tournament included Lucas Garrison, Justice Manske, Jakeb Addison, Rajah Brown, Jackson Lankamer, Oliver Porietis, Brody Mazur, Keagan Cole, Evan Fleming, Kohta Fisher, Bow Nesbitt, Caiden Anthony, Caiden Addington, Tanyon Sprinkle, James Cameron, Liam Bowen, Trenton Cross, Dylan Peck, Augustine Duvall, Jaxson McElroy and Ryan Gaffney. The Bulldogs, which hold a season record of 4-8, are coached by Ty Wilson and Christian Crossingham.
