Brian Olsen, 61

Brian Lewis Olsen passed away unexpectedly on April 19, 2026, in Marion.

Brian was born on July 23, 1964, in Lebanon, Oregon, to Bill and Connie Olsen. He was the youngest of five siblings. He was raised in Sweet Home and spent much of his early life in the Willamette Valley before moving to Montana in 2002, where he embraced and enjoyed an outdoor lifestyle.

Brian was an avid outdoorsman and a master chainsaw artist. He carved countless bear statues and custom pieces with precision and care. Many of his works were gifted to family and friends, who will treasure them for years to come.

Brian is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Jamie (Burchman) Olsen; his granddaughters, Witer and Timber and his grandson, Ridge. He is also survived by his sisters-in-law, Cynthia Olsen, Sue Olsen and Kelly Olsen, along with many nieces and nephews throughout Montana and Oregon.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Cathi Kendrick and his brothers, David, Mark and Kevin Olsen.

Family and friends will gather at a later date to share memories and celebrate Brian's life.
