UPDATE: Three Othello girls were killed Sunday afternoon in a collision about one mile south of Othello, according to a release from the Adams County Sheriff's Office.

The crash occurred in the 2000 block of West Bench Road, the ACSO release said.

"The collision tragically resulted in the deaths of three female juveniles, all from the Othello area. The victims were all in their teenage years. Due to their ages, their names will not be released," the release said.

West Bench Road has been reopened.

The collision is still under investigation, the release said.

OTHELLO — Drivers are being advised to avoid a section of West Bench Road Sunday while Adams County Sheriff’s deputies investigate a fatal vehicle collision, according to an ACSO press release.

“West Bench Road will be closed between South Reynolds Road and State Route 24 while the scene is being processed,” the ACSO release said. “The closure is expected to remain in place until the investigation is complete.”

This is a developing story and more information will be added as it becomes available.
