The U.S. treasurer will be the keynote speaker at the Coeur d’Alene Regional Chamber's "America 250: Investing In America’s Future Luncheon" slated for May 14 at The Coeur d'Alene Resort.

Presented by the Coeur d’Alene Tribe, the event will bring together business leaders, community members and regional stakeholders to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the United States.

“This is a moment to reflect not only on where we’ve been, but where we’re going,” said Linda Coppess, chamber president and CEO. “This event is about celebrating the spirit of America — innovation, resilience, and opportunity — and how our business community continues to carry that legacy forward.”

Brandon Beach is the 46th and current U.S. treasurer. In his presentation, he will explore how strategic investments in infrastructure, economic development and business leadership can drive prosperity for generations to come, a press release said.

He will also touch on emerging national initiatives, such as Trump Accounts and what they could mean for long-term financial security and opportunity across the country.

"His perspective bridges national Treasury priorities with real impacts felt at the local level," the release said. "He will highlight how federal economic decisions shape everyday lives, and how individuals, businesses and community leaders can play an active role in strengthening their regions and contributing to the nation’s future."

Chief Allan, chairman of the Coeur d’Alene Tribe, said when Beach agreed to visit the Coeur d’Alene Reservation, he encouraged him to stop in Coeur d’Alene, as well.

“Strong communities are built through partnership, forward-thinking leadership, and a shared commitment to opportunity," Allan said. "We are proud to support this event as we look ahead to the next 250 years of growth, innovation and prosperity.”

The event runs from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
